I am sharing with you a recipe from my favorite all time herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. She is well known in the herbal community and has founded one of my favorite herbal companies in the entire world, Mountain Rose Herbs.
It’s either a shame or a great grace that I don’t live near their store or I would never see a paycheck in my life.
Queen of Hungary’s water is an herbal vinegar that can be doubled as a conditioner, a deodorizer or a facial toner and it is super easy and cheap to make…
Soo.. What do you need?
Queen of Hungary’s Water
- 6 parts lemon balm leaf
- 4 parts chamomile flowers
- 4 parts rose petals
- 3 parts calendula flowers
- 3 parts comfrey leaf
- 1 part lemon peel
- 1 part rosemary
- 1 part sage leaf
- Vinegar (Apple cider or wine)
- Rose Water or witch hazel extract
- Lavender oil or rose oil (optional)
Place all herbs in a widemoutb glass jar. Add enough vinegar to cover the herb by 2-3 inches. Place the lid on the jar and let sit for 2-3 weeks.
Strain out the herbs and reserve the liquid. For each cup of liquid add 1/2 cup to 1 cup of rose Water or witch hazel extract. And add a drop or two of essential oil if desired.
This will keep indefinitely without refrigeration!
To use as a facial toner: place on a cotton ball and wipe gently over face as a final rinse for cleaning!
Thank you to Rosemary Gladstar for being the best and most honorable herbalist. ❤
Happy healing friends ❤
